Civil Engineering Director:
Barker Lemar Engineering Consultants is filling the position of Civil Engineering Director. This position will focus on the management and growth of our civil engineering department. Qualified candidates must be able to market civil work, manage project teams, mentor young civil staff and budget for the operations and growth of the department. Qualified candidates will be a Professional Engineer with a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering and 10 years related experience.

Application Developer:
Education/Experience Candidates should have at least a four-year degree in a computer science related field with at least one year experience in a job related field Qualifications Candidates should have experience with the .NET architecture and should be able to develop both Windows and Web based applications using C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET. Candidates should also have knowledge of data modeling and database design using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005. Database modeling and database design using Microsoft Access is a plus but not required. Experience with Visual Basic 6, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, XML, and ASP programming is also a plus but not required. Prior experience with Crystal Reports, Oracle Reports, and/or other reporting software also a plus but not required. Certifications/Licenses None required but a plus.

Environmental Staff Engineer:
Barker Lemar Engineering Consultants, a full-service engineering firm, is filling the position of Staff Engineer. This position will focus on the engineering requirements of assessment and remediation projects. Work responsibilities include data collection, research, analysis, report preparation, and design work dealing with environmental projects (UST, brownfields, agriculture, air, etc.). RBCA experience a plus but not necessary. Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills, be client-focused and able to work independently. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Civil Engineering or related field and 0-4 years related experience. Iowa RBCA experience preferred.
